Scary, very scary ….Boris Johnson would become London Mayor on 1st May if the election was held today according to an ICM poll for the Guardian .The opinion poll asked voters for their second-preference choice, which is important because the mayor is elected using the alternative vote system of proportional representation. Boris Johnson is ahead of main rival Ken Livingstone by 51 to 49 per cent.
